Work Projects for Spring and Summer 2005

Prioritized Maintenance List for 2025 and Beyond

 

This list can be downloaded and printed from our downloads tab, documents. 

We invite Sunday School classes, Bible Study groups, Life Groups, Teen Groups, Men’s Groups and Women’s groups to schedule a day to help with these projects. Also, groups from Alpine Bank are welcome to come during week-days as Community Service Days for our Non-Profit.

 

We begin workdays May 1. Most work days are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. unless otherwise specified.

We will be working on this list during all work days (Fridays, Saturdays, and Mondays are workdays) AND any week days you wish to come but you must call at least 48 hours in advance for weekdays so we may check our personal schedules to enable us to work alongside you and provide materials and any other assistance you may require.

We provide drinking water and snacks. Please bring your own lunch and tools.

  • May 17 (9 am-5 pm)
  • May 19,20, 23, 28, 30, 31 Tues-Thursdays 9am to 8 pm Fridays, Saturdays, and Mondays any time during the hours of 8 am to 5 pm
  • June 4,6-23 Tues-Thursdays 9am to 8 pm Fridays, Saturdays, and Mondays any time during the hours of 8 am to 5 pm 
  • July 7-16 any time between9 am to 8 pm
  • July 10-12 Work Camp- Please come and stay at the camp and work on any projects between 8 a.m. and 4 pm. then relax and fellowship with your family and or work team. All food and snacks provided!!!
  • July 17-19 Work Camp- Please come and stay at the camp and work on any projects between 8 a.m. and 4 pm. then relax and fellowship with your family and or work team. All food and snacks provided!!
  • July 25-26  Work Anytime between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m
  • July 28-August 1 Work anytime between 8 a.m. and 5 pm.
  • August 4,6-8 Work anytime between 8am and 5 pm
  • August 18-22 Work anytime between 8 am and 5 pm.
  • August 25-28 Work anytime between 8 am and 5 pm.

 

Please call at least 48 hours ahead so we may have a head count to ensure proper supervision of all work day crews.

Items to be completed:

E= items that need a licensed plumber or electrician or someone with extensive knowledge.

TOP PRIORITY: OUR MOST IMPORTANT PROJECT WILL BE WORKING ON OUR WATER SOURCE AREA. THAT DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED BUT IT WILL BE AFTER JUNE 1 AND BEFORE JULY 10. WE WILL SEND OUT A NOTICE VIA EMAIL AND ON FACEBOOK AS SOON AS WE HAVE DATES FOR USING AN EXCAVATOR LET US KNOW IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE CONTACTED ABOUT THIS PROJECT.  Email us at tepeebiblecamp@gmail.com

First Priority:

On-going: 

  1. Weed eat and clear life’s trail – do as much as you can in the time you have (Groups welcome)
  2. Weed eat around buildings and fences This is ongoing since our maintenance person (Skip) now has two prosthetics and cannot balance well enough to weed eat.

Anytime between May 17 and July 10th: 

  1. Clear brush and downed limbs from the creek area, life's trail, the recreation field area, and the lower field near the trading post.Prefer this to be done May 19,20, 23, 28, 30, 31 Tues-Thursdays 9am to 8 pm Fridays, Saturdays, and Mondays any time during the hours of 8 am to 5 pm
  2. Paint the interior walls of the two cabins, the Trading Post, and bathrooms of 6 motel rooms Can be done one cabin, one room at a time. Groups welcome. We prefer these to be done in May and June and before July 10th.
  3. Replace the flooring in the Missionary Cabin and Office before July 10
  4. Replace all old light fixtures in bathrooms in the Long House before July 10.

Anytime or at a Work Camp:

  1. Caulk and paint any peeling chipped areas of all wood buildings. 
  2. The cross on the hill needs to have lights restrung and any other maintenance performed.
  3. Apply new stain to the Picnic tables.
  4. Replace top rail of the Trading Post seating area- move 4 benches to the deck of the trading post.
  5. Parking lot leveling – once we get gravel and road base delivered DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED -WATCH FOR FACEBOOK AND EMAIL NOTICE
  6. Teens and adults to help mend barbed wire fences and replace fence broken fence posts and install some new t-posts.
  7. Rebuild several benches in the worship house and paint them.
  8. Redo seating at the fire pit with something permanent
  9. E- Build 5 tepee platforms - a team of at least 4 people needed. All materials and plans provided. These must be done before September 1.  One or 2 of these can be built in an 8 hour day. The framing will be built in the Worship House

Mid August and by September 6

  1. Set up all Tepees  (Need groups of people 4 per tepee).
  2. September 6: Need 4 or more people to Put together a 9 Square in the Air court. Directions and materials provided, put together a Gaga Ball Court, Directions and materials are ready.
  3. Anytime before September 6. Build another horseshoe pit. Materials provided.

2nd Priority: Would like to have these done before October 1st 2025

  1. After September 13 and before September 21st Take down and store all Tepees and poles, sound equipment, Gaga Ball pit, 9 square. Drain all irrigation lines, drain hoses and place on hose reels.
  2. In one day: Remove the old furnace in the Eat’um House and build a platform and tile it for the pellet stove
  3. On a separate day: Install the pellet stove.

 

Third Priority to be done in the next 2-3 years. 

 

  1. E Straighten the tubing hill and re-work the creek with a bridge. Must be done in Aug or Sept. of whatever year.
  2. Dig a trench and install a water line from the RV Hookups to the Trading Post and Install a yard spigot.
  3. E Remove existing wall and kitchen of craft house and install or build a lockable cabinet in Southeast corner.
  4. E Install lights in the Eat’um House Deck.
  5. Replace florescent lights in the Eat’um house with LED.
