NEW IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENT FOR ALL SUMMER CAMPERS
posted by Miss Marie @ 7:19am, Thursday 25 July 2019.
Because of misinformation from the Colorado Office of Early Childhood in 2016 regarding a law signed by then Governor Hickenlooper *CRS 26-6-106 (2) (n.5)*; Tepee Bible Camp has not been requiring the State of Colorado Immunization Certificate for proof of or exemption from Immunizations. At this time the above mentioned law does not apply to short term camps except Ski Schools.
So, the Colorado Department of Health and Environment is now requiring every Summer camper, whether they live in the State of Colorado or not, to provide all their immunizations on the State of Colorado Immunization Certificate. You may also claim either medical or non-medical exemption but these forms must be filled out every year. The downloadable Certificate and exemption forms may be accessed by clicking here. We cannot accept a doctor's printout. All immunizations must be submitted on the official State Certificate. If your child attends public school, the school should have a copy of your child's immunization certificate and will, upon request, make a copy for you to send to the camp.
Please mail or email your completed form to the camp No Later Than June 1 of 2021. Failure to do so may cause your camper to not be enrolled in camp.
Thank you for helping us comply with the CDPHE requirements.
